Please note:  Some of the cover plates  say Bushman and some say Game Changer. They are the same instrument.

Our Bushman Solo Game Changer is a traditional chromatic harmonica with some “small” advantages.  #1  Its size – it’s not much bigger than a standard diatonic, making it the smallest “Pocket Chromatic” in the world!  #2  It’s doesn’t have windsavers so you can easily bend notes on it for a more bluesy, expressive sound, and you get the added advantage of not having to listen to the flapping windsavers that are on normal chromatics.  #3  You get the black keys!  Standard diatonic harmonicas are like pianos that only have white keys, but many songs have sharps and flats in them so you need the black keys.  With the Solo Game Changer getting the black keys is as easy as pushing a button!  #4  It comes in the 6 most popular Keys:  C, A, D, G, Bb. and Low F

The Solo Game Changer aka The Pocket Chromatic features a note layout that is exactly like any standard chromatic harmonica that only has 10 holes.

Diving deeper into the Solo Game Changer you’ll find that it bends easier than any other chromatic in the world.  In addition to being able to get all the sharps and flats with a button like you can on any chromatic, you can also get those notes by bending just like you can on any 10 hole diatonic!  In fact, the Game Changer bends even easier than most diatonics.  Being able to bend allows chromatic players to add a bluesy, more expressive feeling to their music!  You’ll also find that it’s more responsive than other chromatics even though it doesn’t have windsavers; it can play as fast as you can!  Chromatics are usually expensive, with the most popular models being over $200, but the Solo Game Changer costs less than the cost of many 10 hole diatonics.  If you’re a diatonic player looking to try your hand at a chromatic, I recommend getting the Blues Game Changer, but if you’re a chromatic player who wants an excellent, fast responding, very affordable, bluesy sounding, 10 hole “pocket” chromatic that is available 6 keys including the rich sounding Low F, then I recommend the Solo Game Changer.  It has a yellow comb.

The Game Changer has an Equal Temperament.

Very smooth action on this Harmonica. The tone is excellent. It is extremely comfortable to hold. The mouthpiece is smooth and comfortable as well. I recently purchased a German chromatic and the 10 drawn note wasn’t working. These little Harmonica is are absolutely amazing and they are considerably less expensive than some of the other high-end chromatics on the market. You can bend the notes! Very sweet little Harp!

Thanks for the nice review.

Pocket Chromatic

After retirement, I take my dog to the beach every day. I wanted a chromatic that fits in my pocket and can be played in all weather. I'm very happy with this harp. Adjusting to C6 happened quickly. I could be equally happy with C or C6 and decided on C6 because it gives a bit more flexibly in playing. I just got a second one in G6. I like it but really wish they made C orchestra. The size and shape are comfortable in my hand. - - I bought the JDR wood cover plates. The change in sound is small but I like it. Wood feels good in my hand regardless of the temperature. It has look and feel of a luxury harmonica.

Thanks, Dwight.

Love playing my double blues harp

Longtime diatonic player, and new to chromatic. I bought my first Trochilus/Game Changer a few months ago, and it has been so much fun to play. Well designed, built to high standards, airtight, and definitely a good deal. I own four now, and play them everyday. Thanks, RocknRon’s’!

Thanks, James!
