Gorgeous harmonicas! Worth every penny too.
I ordered this Summer 2025 set 48 hours ago and am stunned they are already here. To get from San Diego to central Vermont that quickly is very unusual. Just looking at them makes me want to play better. Like translucent honey. They are stunningly beautiful. Mellow woody pleasing pleasure!
Suzuki Pure Harp, a mellow woody tone. The KOA wood covers and comb gives me departure from feeling like a mouth full of brassy metal to that of a natural wooden recorder or clarinet! I like to play melodies and ballads and this little harp gives a natural ancient tone. The shape of the covers are different but after playing feel comfortable in the hand and fit in my rack securely. The mouth piece shape is very comfortable. And the surface/finish resists that gummy accumulation of saliva! Rockin Ron’s is my harmonica store, selection, inventory, BEST PRICE, interesting information, advice, and service. Just got my second Lightning, and it's the best diatonic harmonica I've played, so yes, worth the extra cost. Of course, the most noticeable thing is its weight (for reference, it's over 2 1/2 times heavier than a Marine Band or similar, so it may not be the one you carry around in your pocket). But for me, I really love the feel of stainless steel as a material for harmonicas in general--in mouthpieces/combs, cover plates, and reeds. I also can say that although I was initially skeptical, the polished reeds do actually seem to improve the responsiveness of the Lightning. For the low- to mid-register keys, I appreciate a brighter tone, and that is enhanced with its vented cover plates. . . . Last but not least, always worth noting the A+ customer service of Rockin Ron's; it's the gold standard and a model for small online businesses to follow.

"Great service continues. I have a few leftover Lee Oskar combs as a result of putting some of Tom Halchak's Blue Moon combs into some of my harps, so I figured, why not order some reed plates and covers for the unused combs? As I said in a review here years ago, the Lee Oskar is "the Ford 150 of harp," i.e., staying power at a reasonable price. With my most recent order (LowF reed plates and a set of covers) I received exactly what I expected from Rockin' Ron's. Prompt service; fair pricing; a huge selection of available products; and nothing but manufacturers' authorized and guaranteed products in original packaging. Ron is devoted to serving the harmonica community, and unless you're trying to pick up one of the very few things he doesn't carry (and always check with him - often he can get for you something you don't see listed on his website), there is absolute no reason not to check out Ron's site first ... and last."
