My 5 year old SCX56 was recently getting an intermittent buzz from a few valves. All the valves were original. Of course, replacing those valves would fix it. Then Ron put these reed plates on sale. They worked perfectly out of the box and came with all new valves already installed. Also new screws. Checked with a Boss tuning app which shows all reeds good at A=443. I'm good with that because if these ever drift a bit it's still good. I left the new plates in and put the originals back in the same packaging to save for backups. Thanks Ron!

I’m pleasantly surprised by these reed plates. I was expecting them to require some finagling to get them to perform well. In fact, they are perfectly in tune, and fully responsive. The harmonica may be even better than it was when new!
