I see a lot of 16 hole Hohner chromatics for repair--they hold up very well.
The older ones have a variety of differences, but the overall construction has been the same for decades.
The new version has a plastic comb with the reed plates held to the comb with screws, easy to disassemble for cleaning and repair.
They used to be straight tuned, with all the natural notes on the top reed plate and the "sharp notes" on the bottom. The new ones are cross tuned.
This is a great investment if you are making the commitment to play a four octave instrument.
My Chromonica 64 / 280 is great. Very respnsive and loud. Most draw notes are bendable and I love the lower octave of the low notes. Over all very dependable and fun to play !
