Not just a contender

I bought the DaBell Contender in Harmonic Minor Am as an exploration of the make and tuning. I got fabulous personal service from RockinRons and had the harp in a few days. There's just one problem; I can't put it down. Seriously. It's like discovering I can sound like an accordion when I whistle, and who knew playing a tango could feel so good? Tuning aside, the harp is also a very comfortable mouth fit for me, much like the Hohner Golden Melody is. It's loud without being over-the-top, the chords are lush, and even the 2 draw is clean. I won't comment on bending because I'm still developing that skill. I am already looking forward to my next DaBell Contender, this time maybe in a G or Low F. Thank you RockinRons for making this harp available!

The DaBell Contender is a good harmonica. Personally I think it's the best of the DaBell diatonics. It feels good and plays easy. I like it!!!

I love this harp. Tuning is great. Airtight. Easy to play. It feels great in the hand. And Rockin Rons got it to me in 5 days from California to Maine...and that includes a weekend !!! Fantastic service with plenty of communication. Thank you
