One of my favorites!

I bought one of these in G on a whim. I figured for the price that it wouldn’t hurt to try it out. I loved it so much that I now have six of them in different keys and it has become my one of my favorites. I like them as much as my Lee Oskar harmonicas. I’ve discovered that they are more mustache friendly than the Oskar’s and I love the shape and feel of them.
My only complaint is that the Low F has a little rattle on the lower draw. I don’t think it’s the instrument fault. I think it’s more of a user error that I need to adjust to. I wouldn’t hesitate buying more of these and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new harp.

Not Without Issues but I Still Like It...sort of

I gave it 3 stars but it's really about a 3.5 out of 5. I'm definitely one of those guys who just likes experimenting with different harps & I've bought most. Seydel, Hohner, Suzuki, Lee Oskar, Harmo. I even bought a Yonberg (french made harmonica) which is actually a really cool design. I was attracted to the Kongsheng for the same design reasons as well. Rounded covers with no gaps. (I have facial hair) Round holes which I really like. Right out of the box, I liked how the harmonica fit in my hand. It had a good feel to it. This is an A harp. The middle & upper registers of the harp played very smoothly & without too many adjustments to my air pressure, especially the upper register. Now we get to the missing 1.5 stars. The 2 & 3 hole draw felt really labored. The 2 draw in particular almost felt like the reed was stuck. I've been bending for years so this is not a skill issue but the bends were not clean or easy. On my Manji it's almost effortless. Even the 1 draw bend just sounded terrible. Now, as I continued to play it, it did seem to loosen up a bit with better intonation on the 3 draw bends specifically. But the 2 draw bends still sound just...not right. I know what in tune bends sound like so it isn't that. I'll keep playing it & adjust the review if it's a harp that just takes more time to warm up. I do have to say at a 32 dollar price point, I almost feel guilty about the complaints. Definitely will try the more expensive solist folk & see if there's a difference.
