The 1847 LIGHTNING with polished stainless steel reeds - a dream for all harmonica-lovers

The 1847 LIGHTNING is made without compromise: the best components available and SEYDEL’s masterly craftsmanship were used to build this harmonica lover’s dream.

What makes the 1847 LIGHTNING so special?

For the first time we created polished stainless steel reeds for the best responsiveness, a beautifully balanced fat tone and a very long lifetime. The 1847 LIGHTNING is available in 16 keys ranging from LD to F. It comes as well in a >set of seven instruments.

The 1847 LIGHTNING comes with a polished solid comb made of stainless steel that gives the instrument not only extra weight (155 g / 5,5 Oz) but as well adds a very resonant component to the sound.

The shiny stainless steel cover plates with the special 1847 3D-imprint and side vents are completely rounded at the front and opened wide at the back for the best sound projection towards the audience.

All parts (even the rivets and screws) are made of anti-corrosive materials. The 1847 LIGHTNING is designed to be a lifetime companion and ready for any musical challenge.

The 1847 LIGHTNING - sound refined to perfection

WOW!!!🤩

Let’s get the obvious out of the way…Rockin Ron’s is by far the best harmonica store out there. Just a straight up great business. Thanks folks😎!!! Now, about the LIGHTNING. First, all the harmonicas I have purchased from Ron’s I would buy again. I believe all quality harps have a place. I stepped up to the Lightning after seeing interviews by Roly Platt and watching his endorsement of this model. Everything he says about his style of playing and quality of this harp is spot on. It is a STUD piece of art. As time goes on I see myself completing a full set of classics and lightnings. Rock on!!!

Thanks so much, Mark!!!
We sure appreciate you!

Very nice harps!

I’ve been playing Hohner Crossovers for over 10 years and recently had Charlie Musselwhite strongly recommend that I try the Seydel 1847 Lightning. So I did, and they play like butter and sound great. They are a little heavy due to the steel comb.

Absolutely beautiful 🙂

I was going to say Breathtaking, but this is the best playing harp I own (I have Lee Oscars, special 20s, session steels, and a Crossover, for reference). Didn’t know what a difference a nice instrument makes. Compared to my Session Steels, the stainless reeds bend like butter, without the extra effort. The stainless comb is heavy, but feels nice, and my beard and mustache appreciate the rounded covers. Overall a beautiful harp. I look forward to comparing it to a Noble. Thanks again to Ron and Co. for the fast delivery and great customer service!

Sweet sound.

What I really appreciate about the Lightning is its sweet sound. It's not as raspy, as some might prefer. But for me, I like this tighter, sweeter sound. And its feel in the hand is impressive and feels great. Look forward to adding a couple more Lightnings to set beside my collection of Blues Session Steels. ... Also, great delivery time, as in fast.
