The Suzuki Manji uses a compromise tuning which is essentially equal temperament with a few cents lopped off the major thirds of the chords. The new Suzuki Olive has a similar tuning, but 6 and 10 draw a bit lowered.

perfect replacement

I needed a C reed replacement for a Manji. These were perfectly gapped straight out of the package. I also want to say that Rockin' Ron's service is above and beyond. They are the best in service, shipping, selection and customer consideration.

Best Reeds So Far

Just recieved my reedplates in the key of D and they played so well out of the box. The Manji is louder and crisper compared the Seydels I have in my collection. As the previous reviewer stated, these reedplates are extemely well built and tuned. The quality of Suzuki's reeds and harps continue to impress!

Suzuki Manji Reed Plates

I have brought several of the Manji reed plates in regular keys and all of the low keys and every single set has been PERFECT! I have not blown a reed yet on a Manji...they are so well built and tuned....I have been installing them on Andrew Zajac and Blue Moon custom combs and this is where they really stand out.. Suzuki has got it seriously going on with the Manji line of harps and their reed plates are AWESOME :)
