The Kongsheng LRYA16 plays well right out of the box. Good tone and response. It also looks great. I've played many chromatic harmonicas from different manufacturers. The LRYA16 is equal to any mid priced chromatic available. It's a great value.

At some point I may adjust the reed gapping a bit to suit my personal style, but it's close enough that adjusting the reeds is a low priority.

Beautiful harp. Plays great even on lowest notes. If it's good enough for Slim it's good enough for me! Great price and fast delivery!

These are terrific harmonicas at a very reasonable price. This is the 2nd 16 hole Kongsheng Lyra that I've purchased from Ron, who has always (and continues to be) a terrific online dealer in every way. This particular harmonica did have some minor issues out of the box which I was able to address myself (a few too-tight reed gaps, a minor reed alignment issue, and one slightly flat reed) Ron passed along my comments to the manufacturer, who quickly responded with an apology and is sending me a free set of reed plates to compensate for my trouble. Happy customer here!
