The Kongsheng Rouge is a terrific instrument all around
I'm a big fan of the Kongsheng chromatic line, currently have 3 Lyra Golds, 2 Lyra 16s, and now 2 Rouge 48s. They're all well crafted, comfortable to play, and are well set up right out of the box. The Gold is still my favorite as I'm a big fan of straight tuning (equates to shorter slide throw) and it looks pretty classy too. However, I gotta say that the Rouge, while cross-tuned and much lighter due to the plastic comb, is a close contender and currently less than half the price. It feels and sounds great, very air tight, great slide action. I don't know how they're able to produce such a high quality instrument at this price, but I'm not complaining :-). - Slim

Good player

Slim (the first reviewer) plays much better than I do. I took his advice and got this harp. It's as good as Slim said it would be. This is more than "good for the money". It's a good harmonica. It just happens to have a low price but it doesn't look, feel, or sound like a budget harmonica.

Thanks for the wonderful review. So glad you are happy.
