THE ORIGINAL BLUES HARMONICA
The Marine Band 1896 is the archetypal blues harmonica. Almost unchanged since it was patented in 1896, this iconic instrument embodies the real deep blues like no other and is the benchmark against which all others are judged. Initially designed for European folk music, it quickly became a prominent voice of American blues of the early 20th century, played by all harmonica players of this era. It’s the soundtrack of broken hearts and dancing all night, of endless prairies and sweaty nightclubs. Like no other harmonica, the Marine Band 1896 is an invitation to express yourself in music, a key to unlock your creativity. When you discover this piece of living musical history, you won’t just play the blues. You’ll feel the blues.

A little stiff on the reeds... hmm

I have been playing harmonicas for like 55 years.. I don't want to complain... just being
honest and this can happen to anyone when purchasing a harmonica.. I will work it in more and see how it goes..Sometimes, that will work.. I usually buy the Special 20's but this Marine Band with the wooden comb I like for the blues

Best sounding harp so far

While I am no pro, this harp has the best sound of all the harmonicas I own right out of the box.
I HIGHLY recommend Rockin Ron's for all your Harmonica Needs.

Fast delivery, good customer service.

This is the second Harmonica I ordered from this store. I am very pleased with my purchase. The delivery was quicker than I anticipated and the harmonica arrived in good condition and plays great. I plan to order from them again.

Thanks David!
