The SHAMROCK - Pocket Melodeon is exactly what the name of this special tuning suggests: a pocket-sized melodeon! 

Based on our SHAMROCK as the base model, Joel Andersson’s Pocket Melodeon Tuning greatly expands the instrument’s versatility. The tuning and playing style correspond to those of a single-row button accordion, also known as a melodeon or simply a “box.” Melodeon players can therefore pick up the instrument quickly and intuitively without having to learn it from scratch. The SHAMROCK Pocket Melodeon is particularly well-suited for: 

• traditional Irish music
• Cajun music
• French folk music and Québécois (a French-Canadian style)
  
• all other genres in which the single-row melodeon is used

The SHAMROCK Pocket Melodeon’s special partial valving system enables a very efficient response with minimal air consumption, guarantees a wide dynamic range, and is very easy to maintain.
Furthermore, this special model offers the proven advantages of the SHAMROCK:

Its slim profile provides a comfortable, ergonomic playing position. The mouthpiece, which is integrated into the comb, makes it easy to play clean single notes while remaining equally comfortable for chord playing. Using the tongue-blocking technique, single notes and chords can be combined to create a particularly rich and expressive sound. In an octave harmonica, two reeds sound simultaneously, tuned exactly one octave apart. This gives the instrument its full, rich tone.
